- Steve I suggest the following
-
- Place SSbootfile on Amiga parition
-
- Boot up SS
-
- In the partition file area select the SSbootfile as filedisk1
-
- Either create another filedisk using the create option for filedisk 2
- ( make it about 10-15meg )
-
- or if the ZIP drive is a device then select it in the device 1 selection
-
- Click save to save info
-
- Boot up mac with start button
-
- U should get mac asking u if u want to initialise either the
- secondfiledisk or the device
-
- Answer yes
-
- Boot up Zterm
-
- Connect to apple etc
-
- Select binary (bin)
-
- IN Zterm select menu with mouse and highlight selection that says ( I
- think default receive folder ) When the requestor comes up either
- select ZIP drive or second filedisk
-
- Get 7.0.1 files and download. Zterm should be set to Smart binary
- option for transferring
-
- You should now have the files on your device or filedisk
-
- U know have to either unstuff and unbinhex files that you have. If I
- remember u will have to use binhex that came with SSbootfile to do this
- Select download->application
-
- make sure the new file goes on the filedisk2 or device
-
- You may now have to unstuff the file above ( Maybe not ) If the file
- has extention .sit then u have to.
-
- After u do this you should have on the filedisk a file that has a
- little disk icon ( Install? )
-
- You now have to use Mountimage that came with SSbootfile. Start it up
- and click on the small disk ( I wannabe ) select the disk image above.
-
- A image should appear on the desktop that you can openup etc.
-
- DO this for all the disks u downloaded
-
- then click on install and custom install for ALL macintoshes
-
- Either select the ZIP drive ( preferred for speed )
- or filedisk two as your system disk to install on to
-
- Hopefully the system will install
-
- close down
-
- reboot select new system (file/device) as boot and go to it
